Get back to nature among spectacular surroundings with a stay at Gwynedd's Rhos Y Foel, in the midst of the Llŷn Peninsula a short drive from more lush landscapes at Snowdonia National Park.

Set with views towards the rocky peak of Moelypenmaen, Rhos Y Foel is a small and family-friendly site, with a wide swathe of open space on which the kids can let loose. Well-behaved dogs are welcome.

Rhos Y Foel is a level and almost completely flat site – no uncomfy bumpy groundsheet nights here – and has a facilities block with hot running water; showers are free of charge.

Barbecues and campfires in firepits are allowed: for supplies, the local village is Boduan and the shops and services of market town Pwllheli are a few miles away.
